Attempt at Sending Sunshine

This card uses the Sending Sunshine stamp set as well as the tree line from Mountain Air. I'm really liking these scene builders lately!

I put this card on a Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight base but I think it would also look nice on some masculine colors.

The image is stamped on a white layer that is 5 x 3 3/4".

I started by stamping the larger water stamp in Balmy Blue about an inch or so above the bottom of the paper.

From there I moved to the small water stamp and put that on in Coastal Cabana

I put the sun down in 3 layers. First I put it down solid in Daffodil Delight. There is a line on the sun to help you line it up with the water.

The next two layers were Mango Melody and then Calypso Coral on top. I did a little dab of the stamp on the ink pad so that you just get a tad bit of ink to layer on.

Next you use the detailed tree line stamp from the Mountain Air set and Old Olive ink.
I put the ink pad on the table and just inked at the bottom edge of the pad to get only the trees.

I then hovered over the water line to see where the sun was. I wiped off the ink where there needs to be a gap for the sun to show through.

Line the trees up right on the edge of the water and stamp it.

I also dabbed the Old Olive ink on the end of the tree stamp to get a little bit of the lower portion and stamped that on each side of the lake. I though it helped give a little more dimension.

Make sure to clean the tree stamp between all the steps so you don't accidentally get it into your water.

Take a sponge or blending brush and with Sahara Sand ink, put some color down around the lake and out to the edges of the cardstock.

You can do all of the white, but I liked it when I left the lower part white and at the end used the aqua painter to brush some more texture thru it.

Ok...now you are ready for some rocks.
I used the little stamp that looked like rocks, might also be clouds?? I stamped that on the left side with Crumb Cake.

Then on the right side I omitted one of the little rocks so it didn't go so far out into the scene.

The one at the point of the lake (covered by my sentiment unfortunately) I just inked the big rock and then put one of the small rocks around the bend of the lake. I did three of those.

After the rocks I took the stamp that has the little dots and used them for baby rocks and stamped them around the other rock areas. I did full strength and then moved it and stamped again to help fill in a bit.

This next step I went back to the Sahara Sand ink and used the smaller of the long stamps that might be clouds. I inked it up and stamped it randomly around in the remaining open space to give it a terrain sort of look. I used the full stamp in some spots and just portions of it in others.

This is now where I said I took my aqua painter and using ink from the lid of the Sahara Sand I lightly dragged the bristles across the cardstock for a sweeping stroke to fill in the terrain.

Finally I took the big cloud stamp with Seaside Spray and stamped off to make a cloud and then did that again for a second cloud.

After that I used the aqua painter with the light sweeping motion thru the sky with the Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight to brighten up the sky with the same sunset coloring.

The end is to stamp your sentiment and place it on the front. Depending how bit it is, more of your card may show than mine does.

Have fun!
