Masculine Thank You card

Dericthanks2

I needed a masculine thank you card for my son and his girlfriend. I wanted it more on the masculine side.

I started with an A2 card base in shaded spruce.

I cut 6 strips of patterned paper from the wrapped in plaid designer series paper. Each is 1/2" wide and two are around 41/4", then two are about 31/2", and two are about 31/4". You can adjust the length to suit your style.

The next step was sorta tricky for me to get the weaving to stay so I ended up putting some lil dabs of adhesive in various spots to get them to stay in place. The weaving is in my photo at the top piece over, under then over the piece on the far right. The middle layer is under over under and then back to over, under and over.

Space them how you want, I ended up liking mine tighter together. I put a bunch of dimensionals on the back to keep them all in place and raise it up off the front.

the final step was to put on the sentiment. I rubbed the embossing buddy on the front so I wouldn't get the embossing powder specks in other places (I still got a few but minimal....yay!)

I stamped the "thank you" from Free as a Bird with versamark and then heat embossed it with white powder.

This is really a quick and simple card...enjoy!
