November 2019 PP Alternate 4

Bird

This is a Z fold card using the cardinal tag from the November 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit.

Start with an A2 card base (41/4 x 11 paper folded in half) in Shaded Spruce. Fold the top half back to create two smaller panels. That will become the front panel.

Adhere a piece of designer series paper to the top panel. I should be cut at 21/2 x 4.

Leave the other panel on that side of the card blank for this project. The tag is pretty large so you cannot really see any decoration on that pane when the card is opened.

Stamp the holly in Shaded Spruce on a white panel cut to 51/4 x 4.
I colored the berries with a real red marker to get rid of any green that might have gotten on there.
You can also stamp a sentiment at this time, it isn't very convenient once you get the strip on. Adhere this panel to the right side of the card.

You need a strip of coordinating designer series paper for the z fold. Mine was 101/2 x 11/4.

You need to score the strip at 5/14 and again at 2/12. If you find it easier you can put the strip on the edge of the designer paper on the left side and with the card closed fold the strip back at the edge of the white panel with the holly....which will be approx 51/4. Then with the card still closed fold the paper again at the point that the front panel is folded back and that will be approx 21/4. Sounds complicated but pretty easy. Just depends if you are a measurer or an eyeballer....LOL.

Adhere the strip onto the card but be careful how you put the glue on the strip. You just want it on the front panel with the designer paper on it and then on the part that will stick to the white paper with the holly.

You can assemble the tag by popping up a cardinal on the front of the wood looking tag with the snow.
Stamp PEACE in Shaded Spruce on a white piece from the kit.
Arrange some leaves on the tag and put the PEACE on with dimensionals.

Thread a piece of the green ribbon thru the hole in the tag and tie it on with a piece of the silver.
From there put some adhesive on the back portion of the tag so that you can put it on the front panel at an angle. Don't over do it with the glue or your card might stick shut.
That's it.....
