January Class to go cards

These are the three cards that were the class of the month for January.  I didn't have an in person class because I was gone on vacation but I had a couple of options for getting this class.  I just wanted to show you the finished cards.  I used the Friendly Foliage bundle as the main stamp set.

Friendly Foliage used this week

Well I'm back after my vacation.  Seems like I've been gone a long time.  I guess 22ish days is long enough to feel that way.  After I returned from my vacation it was just slow going to get the wheels turning again.  I thought I was all straightened out with the time change but lately I have been waking up at 3am like clock work.  I'll get there, just going to take a little more time.  I am feeling tip top though, headache hasn't come back and my stuffiness is gone.  Mike did get a cold from who knows where so I'm doing my best to steer clear of catching that!  Now if the weather would come out of the deep freeze life will be awesome.  I have a crafting day tomorrow that I hope will not get canceled.  It's going to be negative tempertures tomorrow and that won't cancel it, just hope the roads are good to get there.

Anyway.....you are here to see the cards I made this week, not to hear about me!  I did three cards, stepped each up a little bit to show a variety of different things you can do to have a nice card without a lot of effort.  My class for January used the Friendly Foliage so I continued with that for my cards this week.  My new plan of attack for classes is to use one set and then through the month I'll show the cards and some extra ideas, so this was kinda following that idea.  We'll see how long I can do that.  It seems so limiting.  You can see the video for these cards on YouTube here.

This is the first card I did.  It uses limited supplies and if you didn't want to cut out the leaves you could just use one of the stamps in the set.  Cutting the rectangles and stamping would eliminate the need for the dies and a embossing machine for anyone that doesn't purchase it all.

This one steps it up a little bit with the use of the dies and a little technique for making the pattern.  Our new stamp positioner tool that was just announced will help with this style of stamping for sure.

This card is pretty simple too but looks much fancier with all of the layers it has.  It uses dry embossing with the folder on the vanilla piece and heat embossing with the sentiment and flower piece.

Aspen Grove

Tonight I inked up the Aspen Grove stamps and used them for my weekly live.  It was the first I've played with this set and boy was I surprised to see the trees were separate stamps!  For some reason I thought it was one set with all the trunks and you just added extra branches!!  I like the versatility of it.  I did some watercoloring with this design and really like how it came out.  I hope you can give it a try.  You can see the video on YouTube if you click here.

Gift Card / Money holder kicks off 2026

Merry Christmas from me to you!  I hope you had a wonderful day.  Tonight started the Christmas cards/ideas for 2026.  I know you'll like this one.  Whether you fill it with gift cards, money, or a combination of both, it is sure to please its recipient.  This holder is pretty simple to make and here is a link for the template that will help simplify it even more.  This is the video link to watch how to create it on YouTube.

The template is 3" x 7" if you print it out.  It should fit right over the page and you can slice the paper through the template.  I also folded the paper up and sliced all the layers at one time to cut the prep time down even more.

Happy BRRthday card

Happy Christmas Eve!!  I went ahead with my weekly live even though it's a busy time for people.  There is always a replay option and it helps keep me consistent.  It was a quick video and a super cute card!!  I saw the idea on Pinterest and put a little Jill spin on it with the Happy Rthday.  If you get a second to watch, the video is here, on YouTube.  Have a very merry Christmas and I'll be back tomorrow night with my Christmas card.  The kick off to the next 12 months of card ideas.  HO HO HO!

Watercolor In Bloom Paper Pumpkin kit for 12-25

These are the cards I made for the alternates to the December kit.  I have the videos loaded on YouTube and in my albums on Facebook.  If you click on the highlighted words it will take you to that location to see them.  The YouTube videos are in the Paper Pumpkin playlist.  This kit was so pretty, I just loved the colors.  I did end up with more on me than the cards I think!  I hope you enjoy the designs and I'll see you again next month.  Merry Christmas, or whatever you may be celebrating this time of year, and happy new year to you and your families.
