The week of the One Sheet Wonder!

Hello everyone.  I'm glad you are here!    Life has been so crazy lately that we are all out n about on the internet, since we can't really get out anywhere else!  I am glad you stopped on by my blog page!!

How have you been keeping busy?  Probably doing some cupboard cleaning and odd projects, if you are not still working.  My grateful thanks to those of you that are still working to keep us safe and supplied with our essentials!  I saw our local grocery store has not only stopped all item returns, they have stopped bottle returns!  Here in MI we have a $.10 deposit on all carbonated beverages.  That could add up to be a lot of cans/bottles waiting to be returned by the end of the month, considering our alcohol sales have not plumeted!!  Now would be a good time for that fundraiser group to put together a plan of attack on how to cash in on all those returns that will be waiting!!!  Reid's class of 2012 did a couple of big can drives and got a lot of money!!  They posted flyers at houses telling them when they'd be back and they could set them out if they wanted.  They set up groups to canvas those neighborhoods and then go back to pick them up....cha ching!!  Now who needs $$??  The seniors of 2021, church groups, shelters??  It's a thought people!!  Could be worth $100s!!

I've been keeping busy the last week with my One Sheet Wonder design.  I decided to create a template, design 11 cards, then Facebook live the whole thing over several nights!  I'm on my final night tonight.  The last four cards!!  It has been very time consuming for me, but a lot of fun!  I created a Facebook group you can join to get the template and instructions.  Currently it is a public page but I am going to make it private next week then add the files.  The people that are group members will then have access to them whenever they are ready to make their own.  A couple of people are following along while I make the cards on the live video!  You can also use just an 81/2 x 11 piece of patterned paper and cut it to make the cards as well.  It's been a great project and I hope people find it fun and entertaining.  (here is a link to the GreenThumb Stampers- One Sheet Wonder FB group)

It's been awhile

Wow...It's been awhile since I posted on my blog!  I am trying to be so good at getting posts done for my facebook page that I've neglected getting my cards up here and saying "hey"!!  I also need to get a schedule down for Facebook lives!  I think I am just really scared to make a schedule because I might forget or what if I don't have anything to show you!  All issues I struggle with in my own mind that are not even anything I should worry about.  I know that it will take time to get a routine.  I just need to pick a day and do it.....I really like the idea of "finally Friday" like I was doing with videos, I just didnt know if a FB Live would be good on a Friday.  Guess I should pick that and go for it, Friday afternoons.  Ok, you read it here first.  Friday afternoons it is, maybe mornings??  We'll see how it goes.  If you have any suggestions for days/time just let me know!!  Maybe evenings are better, or mornings?  See what I do to myself....and then don't do anything!!

I have to get back to my cards for PP and cut for both events on Sunday.  My Mom will hopefully be coming down to stamp this time!!  I'm usually really productive when she's here!  Take care everyone.  I hope you are getting some sunshine like we are.  It is supposed to be really warm, like 60 on Sunday!!!  Time to get the windows washed and prep the flowerbeds!!!  Right after I make a stack of Easter cards the yoga studio is waiting for....lol.

Illness doesn't care!

Well....how dare illness strike diehard crafters!!  Class today was small but illness wiped it down to just a couple.  That dang bug doesn't care who you are or where you need to be!  It should know that stamping day is very precious time!!  It was really nice to be so relaxed today though, we did quite a lot of chatting and made it thru the Paper Pumpkin cards with just a couple of box hiccups.  Stamp a Stack stay-overs decided to hold off on those cards until the other regulars could join us.  That was fine by me, I didn't make good use of the extra time but I did have a relaxing afternoon.

Now I have to get the supplies ordered for the Poppie notecard class coming up.....I have posted a picture of that here on my blog too.  I am really looking forward to making these with the gals that signed up!!

Have a great week everyone....

Jill
