August 2019 PP - The Gift of Fall #2

This project is created using only one element from the kit, the leafy stamp. The rest are just items that struck my fancy today.

Back to School

Well, here it is, day 2 of the school year and I'm pooped!  Man, I did not realize this week was going to be so much time on my feet!  But it has been worth it.  I am enjoying the new job at the middle school.   All in all it has been great, but ask me on day 222!  And ya forget how small/young they still are in 6th grade!  Hopefully in a couple of weeks I will have some names figured out, and faces will be more familiar.  I already know a couple kids and luckily they are not too "cool" to say hello.  Both of my kids have started classes too.  Deric is at WMU in an engineering economics class I think he called it, and Reid has statistics for geneticists in her lineup.

Actually I guess I'm in class too!  I'm taking a 30 day social media business class for demos, you may notice my uptick in facebooking and I'm in a SU program to help demos at the Silver level to promote to Silver Elite.  Both will be a challenge for me because it is out of my comfort zone!  I find it so hard to strike up a conversation about my card making passion and I don't know why.  The fear of rejection probably!  But I do love it and want to build my business to more than just a hobby, so I enrolled.  Wish me luck!  If you want to host a card event or have suggestions of anything you'd like to come to at my house, just let me know.  I welcome the input/help.

Septemer 4th started the Holiday catalog buying period.  If you need one, let me know and I will get it to you.  My order must not have been finalized properly because it doesn't appear that my selections got mailed out.  If you are ok with a pdf, you can get that right here with my catalog widget!  There are some really fun stamp sets in there this year.  Feel free to post any creations that you make on my blog or my facebook page for all of us to see.  It is so great to share ideas.  Finally, there is also a DSP buy 3 get one free sale going on this month.  It is not on all of the paper so be sure to click on the offer photo to find the list.  You can order online and use hostess code VHA69FRQ during your order process.  Well, I'd better get myself lined up for tomorrow.  We have to be in even a tad earlier tomorrow and then we taper back toward our normal three hour days.  That should leave me plenty of time to get caught up on the "homework" I have been getting the last couple of days and not really getting it fully completed.  I even have a "study buddy" for one!  Ok, an accountability partner but still......

Have a great evening

Jill

Final push to the finish....

We are in the home stretch of the Extra! Extra! recruiting promotion and since I am building my stamping business I figured I'd send a reminder.  With this promotion you pick $155 in supplies for $99.  You can even choose items from the new holiday catalog!

Are you wondering why on earth you'd ever want to do this, because you don't have time to run a stamping business?  Well, I'm here to tell you that for 15 years I did too.  I stamped with friends wherever I could share my love of stamping.  Many days it was just me, enjoying my products I got at a discount.  It finally occured to me that stamping with friends could lead to organizing a class that I prepped once a month and viola, a business was in the making!  It's still work in progress, but I love getting together with friends and watching our creations bloom.

You could spend the $99 and just enjoy the discount or you could share the joy of creativity with others that end up helping you pay for the supplies you buy.  It really is a great outlet with very little work needed to stay active and keep that discount!  If you are interested in joining, you can click on the Extra! Extra! button in this post, or share it with someone you think might be interested.  Just one person in a Mom's group or girls night out group would have to sign up to share the benefits (and before you know it you might have customers!).  I am here to help with project ideas/classes or if you have any questions....greenthumbstampers@hotmail.com is my email, we can message on FB too if that is easier.

Not interested in becoming a demonstrator but you want to have an outlet to get creative with friends?  Try a Paper Pumpkin subscription!  That is a monthly kit that comes with everything you need to complete the projects including step by step instructions.  It does not require anyone to be crafty or creative, and they will just smile in amazement that they made the projects!  Their creations bloomed!

July Paper Pumpkin kit is ready...

I got all the PP cards done and loaded in TAMS with instructions.  I had hoped that retirement was going to help put me ahead with samples and posting sooner but not this time.  August is flying by!  Paper Pumpkin class will be this Saturday, August 24, instead of Sunday.  I will make all those event posts next.  Have a wonderful evening.

You can view the individual cards and instructions on my blog at http://greenthumbstampers.thesearemystamps.com/
