April PP 2019 alternate card 2
The second of 4 alternate ideas for the April PP kit.
This is the first card from the April Paper Pumpkin alternates that I created.
My cards are ready for Sunday’s Stamp a Stack. Found the awesome cactus card from Lyssa Zwolanek! I loved the colors and layout, thank you for sharing with us. She’s such a wonderful girl! My other cards are pinterest finds with some minor mods. I feel like someone from my AllRecipes magazine. It just cracks me up when they say how great the dish was when they made it, but they didn't have chicken so used beef and added twice the garlic but left out the rice....ummm did ya really make the recipe??? It was loosely used for inspiration I think. These cards didn't deviate too much from what I thought the recipe was. Enjoy the rest of your evening. I have a little more prep work tonight then tomorrow will be busy. The kids will be over for dinner, my Mom is here for card weekend! I love watching the wheels turn in her pretty head as she gets her craft on. She “AllRecipes” my samples into something barely recognizable! I sure didn’t get a creative gene from her!!
Well this is a true smiling moment for someone elses accomplishment! It's with a proud mama smile that I can say Reid is officially a PhD Candidate! She passed her comps and is on her way to the next goal in her life....Dr. Blanchett!!! LOL..... She called lastnight to tell us that she got the confirmation. We are so proud. She has been to hell and back the last few months to get where she is today (long story), but she stuck with it and it paid off. She's going to get the degree in some aspect of genetics, which is a huge passion of hers too. Look out world....she's back in the game!! We love you Reidy Rider!!! (and you too Skippy!)
Finished up cards tonight for the upcoming Paper Pumpkin class. If you’d like to join us the cost is $5 for those that don’t get their kit from me, and free to PP subscribers of mine. We work on alternate ideas for the kit without using too many of the supplies so you can still enjoy it as designed. For more information on PP just ask....you’ll really love it! There is also a button at the top of my blog to take you there. card design on the left from OneMotherTrucker and fun fold from BJ Peters

I'm still trying to figure out this blog! I guess I have to realize it won't be right the first time. I take that approach with my cards too. There isn't anything wrong with taking time to figure out a new technique or fun fold. The first one most likely isn't going to be your best version! It took me a couple of tries on these colored cups too. Coloring is so hard for me, but I'm getting better! I did these with the blender pens and remembering that the ink doesn't blend the same is hard. I found on the left one that if I colored with the watercolor pencil then picked up the ink with a blender pen it helped spread the color better to achieve what I wanted.
These cards are the Paper Pumpkin alternatives for the February 2019 kit. I spent time at my Mom's last weekend and we worked on them together to come up with the final cards. That was a lot of fun. I love sharing this hobby with her. I need to get my messes cleaned up here at home today and get everything ready for tomorrow. Ladies are coming to stamp! I love sharing this hobby with them too!! Such great times. Have a great weekend.....
These cards are my swaps for Minnesota On Stage. I figured since I had all the supplies out I would use them for my card class this weekend.
I posted a card tonight onto Pinterest! I have never been able to do that before with my watermark on it. That's pretty exciting for me, if you can't tell. It posted here too, I just have to get back into fiddling around and figure this all out again. It's been a long day, Mike and I are getting up and going to the gym before work so I have to learn a new routine. Earlier to bed so I can get up earlier I know that for sure!......I'll be back with more as I get my schedule worked out......
