January PP Alternate 4

Janppbox

greenthumbstampers.com 3x3 note card box.

Start with two of the green 3x3 cards.
Stamp on then how you wish. I put the solid square from the kit on the white pieces and stamped on the green and used a heart from the kit too. This was a sample so I wanted to show all the elements from the kit.
Assembly:
Score on the white end at 1/4" on both cards
Fold in on the score line and put strong tape/glue
Stick each of those sections behind the green cards and it will form a box.

Note: due to the score line the box is no longer a square and a smidge more rectangle.

Bottom of box:
I started with a 3 x 3 1/8 inch white piece of paper
score each side at 1/4"
fold each score line
cut out the tiny corners so you have four "flaps". On each of the edges of the flap I cut IN at an angle just a smidge so it folds up easily

/IIIIIIIIIIII\ rough visual but the ends of each flap should look like that.

Fold the flaps up and make sure you can put the bottom in. Rememeber the box is a smidge smaller on one side so if the bottom doesn't go in try it the other way. Once you have it, put some strong tape/glue on the flaps and slide it on in. Lay the box on its side and press/rub along that flap to help the glue/tape adhere. Repeat on all four sides.

Now it's time for the lid.
Lid:
I started with a 4 x 3 7/8" white
score 1/2" on all sides
on two sides you will snip one side of the ends. You'll make tabs that fold in on the lid. So snip one side of it and then taper that tab piece just a smidge so it sill fold in better. DO NOT taper on the long part, you taper the tab itself.
Set that aside for a second.

Take one of the treat bags and trim off just enough on each side to allow it to open up.
You are going to lay that on the top of the lid so decide which way you want to put it on and trim off the excess from the top so you keep the detail in tact.
So now you can glue that treat bag to the lid piece. I glued down the sides of the lid too so the design spilled over the top.
Cut the excess off the sides. I cut it a tad longer and folded the ends over and glued down on the under side of the lid.

Once that is done you can fold on your score lines and use a strong glue/tape to the little tabs and fold the flaps down. Stick the tab on the inside and press firmly to hold.

Embellish the lid with a tag or bow...or both!
